June Birthdays

We celebrated David's 27th birthday last weekend here at our place with a bunch of family. Our little 2 bedroom apartment was filled to the brim with 13 adults, 3 kids and 2 babies! It was so much fun! We spend the evening visiting, eating and laughing together. We had 4 of David's sisters there (who all live in Provo/Orem) and also his mom and littlest sister who surprised us all and showed up from Idaho! My niece Natalie and her husband Nicolas also came to the party. We had pizza and salad and then some pie and ice cream.

Here is Tabitha (right) with her two little cousins Hailey and Makenna eating under the table right along side some of our food storage! (Hey, you have to come up with creative places for storage when you live in a small apartment!) David prefers pie over cake and it was delicious. Happy Birthday David! He got an ipod for his birthday and really loves it! So does Tabitha, as you can see in the picture below.

Last night we had another birthday celebration at my sister Lauralie's house. We celebrated my mom's birthday and my nephew Luis' birthday along with David's again. My mom's birthday was on Sunday but she and my dad are serving an LDS mission up at Heber Valley Girls Camp and so they come home every Wednesday to Thursday evening for their preparation day. We are so lucky to get to see them every week still. Here's how the evening started...

David and my dad sacked out on the sofas before the party started. After my parents' prep day my dad always says, "now we need to get back up to camp to get some rest and recuperate!" That's because when he comes home each week he spends the day working in his huge, amazing garden all day. He is such a hard worker and a wonderful dad. (I'll have to say more about that on Father's day...coming up).

We sang happy birthday to the birthday people and ate some yummy brownies, friendship cake and ice cream. We got my mom a pearl necklace for her birthday and it was so cool because she said she had never owned a real pearl necklace before and the pearl is actually her birthstone! It looked so great one her too. I wish I had taken a picture of it. My nephew Anthony (8 yrs. old) wanted to be the photographer for the evening so he took pictures of each of the birthday people with "their families." Cute! Here they are!

My mom the birthday girl with her "family," my dad.

David, a birthday boy with his family (Tabitha, me and Savannah).

And my nephew Luis, another birthday boy, who is turning 11 on Saturday, with his mom (my sister) Lauralie. Cute picture!

Here are a few other random pictures of our evening together.

Savannah, me, Melaina (my niece) and Lauralie.

My mom (Vi), Leticia (my other niece) and Carol (my sister-in-law).

And here's my cute mom with my two angel girls. They really love their Grammie! Happy birthday mom, hope it was awesome!
